Basic Information
● Definition: An alloy-coated steel sheet composed of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon, which solidifies at 600°C to form a dense quaternary crystalline structure of Al-Fe-Si-Zn.
● Production Process: Typically manufactured using a continuous hot-dip process, where the steel sheet is immersed in a molten bath of aluminum-zinc alloy to achieve a uniform coating on its surface.
Characteristics
● Strong Corrosion Resistance: Aluminum provides robust protective functionality. When the zinc layer is compromised, aluminum forms a dense oxide layer that inhibits further corrosion. Its corrosion resistance is 2-6 times greater than that of galvanized steel sheet.
● Good Heat Resistance: Withstands temperatures exceeding 300°C, offering high-temperature oxidation resistance similar to aluminized steel. Commonly used in chimneys, ovens, light fixtures, and lampshades.
● High Thermal Reflectivity: Possesses a thermal reflectivity twice that of galvanized steel, effectively reflecting most infrared radiation. This makes it suitable as a heat-insulating material for applications like metal roofs, contributing to energy efficiency.
● Excellent Cost-Effectiveness: The density of the 55% Al-Zn alloy is lower than that of zinc. For the same weight and coating thickness, Aluminized Zinc Steel Sheet covers over 3% more area than galvanized steel, reducing material costs.
● Good Workability: Exhibits excellent ductility, bend formability, unidirectional ductility, and weldability. It can be easily cold-formed, stamped, and welded into various component shapes to meet diverse application needs.
● Aesthetic Appearance: Features a characteristic smooth, flat, and spangled surface with a silvery-white base color, providing high decorative appeal.
● Excellent Paintability: Demonstrates outstanding paint adhesion, allowing for painting without pretreatment or weathering, facilitating coating in various colors to meet different aesthetic requirements.

● Construction: Widely used for building roofs, walls, doors, windows, garages, sound barriers, pipes, and modular houses, providing excellent weather and corrosion resistance to extend service life.
